Multi-Frequency Scatterometer Instrument Development

With partial financial support through the University Hamburg a novel scatterometer instrument was developed that measured polarimetric surface roughness and backscatter at 5 frequencies and various incident angles. The instrument can be used in air-borne mode or tower based and is being employed over the ocean, the Baltic, and during sea ice campaigns.
