Remote Sensing
Remote sensing includes the analysis of satellite-based measurement of sea level, gravity, sea surface salinity and sea ice. Additionally sea surface roughness data over open water and coastal areas from Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and scatterometer instruments are analysed as well as High-Frequency (HF)-Radar measurements. Also, there lots of effort put into the development of a multi-frequent air-borne and mast mounted scatterometer with modern electronics.
