At the end of June, I had the privilege of presenting at the International Meeting on Statistical Climatology (IMSC) in Toulouse. In the Detection and Attribution Session, I gave a talk on "Causal Attribution of Arctic Extreme Fire Weather Events to Anthropogenic Forcings." My presentation focused on the significant impact of human activities on the increasing frequency and intensity of extreme fire weather in the Arctic, highlighting the critical role of anthropogenic forcings in shaping these events. The conference hosted by Météo France was an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and connect with fellow scientists and discuss the latest advancements in statistical climatology.
