Charlotte successfully defended her Master's thesis – Congratulations!

The title of her thesis is "Assessing the influence of land-atmosphere coupling on seasonal predictions of summer hot extremes over the Mediterranean". Her analysis reveals that the seasonal forecasting system SEAS5 captures the underlying land-atmosphere dynamics in the region and that early-season soil moisture provides the potential for meaningful, regionally dependent predictability of Mediterranean summer hot extremes – particularly in the Iberian Peninsula.
